A few months ago, I modded my wii to be able to use the service wimmfi to play wii games online after the shutdown of the official nintendo server. A while after that, though, my wii started to shut down by itself for no reason. I turned off standby mode(which looking back probably wasn't a good idea) and instead it just started to reset itself back to the health and safety screen. I reset my power adapter countless times and it seems that the homebrew channel and various other modded things are causing the problem. I think that HBC is the problem because I actually installed it on my Wii U on Wiimode and the same thing started happening but when I removed all mod content on it, a few days later it went back to normal.
I don't want to remove the homebrew channel, mainly because I want to keep going on wiimmfi. What exactly is going on here, why is this happening and how can I fix it? or is it just some sort of permanent brick?
