I have a black DS Lite that is What I guess would call modded. It has the A, B, Start, Select, L, R, and battery cover from a white DS Lite onto a Black one. I have all of the buttons but the A in black. Will they accept this as a trade in or will I have to find the missing black A button? And as a side question what are their policy's on cracked hinges?

P.S. I'm trading it in for a DSi so don't think I know about crappy trade in values.

Sorry to burst your bubble but, here's what Gamestops website says:

DSi Trade Up Offer

Get $70 toward the DSi by trading in your DS-Lite, or $50 by trading the original DS or $20 by trading the GBA SP.

Hardware must have all necessary components for trade. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Trade-ins subject to manager approval. See store associate for details. No dealers.. Offer valid in the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam only.

Its not like a full on loose/broken hinge. The system works like it was bought yesterday and I fixed the hinge with a dab of super glue and sandpapered it down then detailed the grooves with a pick and finally colored it. Looks legit enough to me. I hope it will either bypass the adolescent employee or will just work. Wish me luck.

If they can't sell it as is, then they won't accept it. Obviously?
