Alright, first off, I dig the IP Board. Its sleek, convenient, and great for mobile foruming.

However, for some brilliant reason, its situated on the index page.
What this means is that whenever I try to load the portal "gbatemp.net", I'm forced to access this board, press the "view full" mode and navigate back to the portal. Not only that, but it doesnt save the view full setting nor lets me return to the mobile version when finally accessing the full site.

So one of two things probably should happen:
1. The forum htm file should be renamed as to not be an index
2. You have some creative solution.

If we are looking at the mobile site ( http://m.gbatemp.net/ / http://mobile.gbatemp.net/ just in case there are some legacy things floating around) I recently had cause to use it (a spell with an old PSP as my main implement of destruction) so when clicking on a member name in there

Warning: mysql_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in /var/www/vhosts/gbatemp.net/subdomains/mobile/httpdocs/members/view.php on line 21

What are you trying to access from?
I would guess changing the user agent would work, if whatever you're using can do that.

Or, my suggestion to the higher ups is changing http://m.gbatemp.net (or make a new subdomain if you don't want to get rid of it (http://touch.gbatemp.net or something)) to be the mobile theme and disable http://gbatemp.net and others to auto-change to the mobile theme (if this is possible of course)

The portal was never redesigned for any mobile themes. So that's why it redirects you to the index, not because the forum is there.
For the portal to start working on any mobile theme, someone will need to create a mobile version for it first.

As for the issue FAST described: Will look into it.
Edit: Profiles should work again on m(obile).gbatemp.net

First thanks tj_cool - if you wanted a fix confirmed you have it.

Obviously I can not speak for those that actually run the site (I am tasked with making nice content to look at) but having recently had to do mobile browser support for a couple of very basic sites I can tell you it was a nightmare to do something close to all encompassing- you can try by user agent but there are loads to handle, you can try by some server side jiggery but I imagine there is already enough custom cruft to try to port to the next time a new version of IBP comes out, you can try by having a certain CSS/page style but again there are a couple of ways mobile browsers like this- some will opt to load a CSS of a given name, others will want another, others will try and load the "print" version, others will choose to drop CSS entirely and rock their internal version so for most of what I did I had a javascript selector and a "mobile" option and a raft of the common ones). Of course this does not excuse a complete lack of effort on the part of a web designer but it is worth knowing that is a potential nightmare (even to the point where I am quite happy to call it a proper profession unlike say SEO consultant).

Equally some mobile browsers are not half bad and as such can render the full site if needs be so constantly pinging them back to the cut down mobile version is not fun for users.

If I had to suggest something it would be stick a more prominent link to the mobile version up in the navbar up high for if nothing else when rendering fails that will usually be done.

Okay, to specify things I'm running an iTouch.
According to the browser, when I go to gbatemp.net I end up at the index, which happens to be the forum. It also loads "IP Board", some forum webapp i assume, in place of the forum automatically.

I'm not running the m. version or the touch. version.
