i believe i made this topic a while ago, but i forgot. heh
so basically, i have a bunch of hard subbed mkv anime episodes, that i like to watch on my ds. however, when i use batch dpg to convert it, the subtitles are lost. batchdpg now has an option to input a separate subtitle file, so how would i do that with hard subbed mkv? would i need to turn it into soft subbed first? and how would i do that? thanks in advance

um mkvextractgui is giving me some weird errors, and i dled a few diff ones to make sure it isn't corrupt. when i run it, it says:

mkvextract.exe and/or mkvmerge.exe file not found in the same MKVextractGUI folder. Copy them into this folder and try again.

all the ones i download had this same error o.o

you'll have to open the sub file after extracting to change the font size if not the subs could take up huge amount of space when watching on the DS, i find the font size of 20-23 is a good number

Open MKVExtractGUI
Import the MKV file
Wait for it to load
In the context box, there should be something about subtitles.
Select it.
Hit the extract button
The subtitles should be in the same directory as the video
