Hacking minor freezing issues with...

Hey guys. I'm experiencing some freezing issues with Rune Factory 2 and Contra 4. Contra only locks up on the later levels and only on the harder difficulties, whereas Rune Factory 2 seems to lock up totally at random. Any idea what might be wrong with them? I'm running on firmware 1.55 and these freezes seem to be pretty random. Contra freezes more often when I'm using cheat codes (yeah, I suck at Contra so it's extra life codes or no see later levels) whereas there's no discernable pattern with RF2. Could they be bad dumps, or is there some sort of anti-piracy protection on RF2? Please advise, especially regarding the Rune Factory 2 problem as I've finished pretty much all the other HM/RF games except this one and I'd like to play through it.

Hmm you could try 1.56 beta 3? Maybe reformat your sd card with the Panasonic SD Formater?(I'd hope you know this but backup your date before doing this....)

(Btw I dont use cheats but I do on Contra
