Hi!

I just tried to replace the "Wii-Disc" in the Disc Channel. For example I just made a minor change: I added "DVD-R".
I used Photoshop CS3 to edit it. I saved it as 32-Bit BMP, but I didn't know how to save it as "32 bit bmp no alpha layers".
After saving as BMP I saved it as TPL using Gallys TPL Converter. I selected "RGB5A3" and clicked on that grey color.

Then I packed all back together and installed 0000045.app on my Wii, but now I got such a ugly frame surrounding the disc:

I think it's because I weren't able to find out how to remove the alpha layers.
Can someone please beat me to find that option?

With a stick?

Until you find that option?

Nevermind, can someone please help me?
I tried searching but that made me even more confused...

It's this one:

(uploaded as PNG for upload speed reasons)

But may you mind telling me how you do it? I want to replace a few more images and don't want to ask you for every pic ;-)

nono convert the image from tpl to tga with tpl_viewer and also modific the tga files.

Does saving as TGA from Photoshop CS3 work, too? That would make that way easier!

Can't you just read the How to make your own CSM-Thread, and asking there, instead of creating a whole, new, f****** Thread, and messing up the Forum? This nerves me a bit...

ADD THE DAMM TRANSPARENCY WITH TPL...it's well described in the Thread, so I don't think you've read the Thread well...

Easy Steps:
-Load the Image with TPL-App
-Klick on the Color that should be transparent
-Choose RGB5A3
-Save as .tpl

Oh, and I'm pretty shure, you'll mess up the System...Chances are around 80%...transparent Images never worked for me...

I did that, but then I get that result you see on top... Ugly frame surrounding the Disc

//EDIT: Do I have to check "Sin color alpha"?

yes yes it is perfectly

Using yours it now looks like this...

No disc, huh?

//EDIT:
I tried again with TPL conv, but I get the same ugly frame around the disc... dammit!

//EDIT:
I found my solution!
I copied the JPG from the Wii System Image Charts breakdown thread. They have the wrong transparent color.
When I extract the Image myself it works flawlessly.
Thanks for all your help!
