I am having serious problems with the latest version of dscraft.
1. The map updater doesnt make a new map called testmap or anything. It just keeps it the same but it replaces the map with this default map that now all my maps are!
2. I have to apply a texture pack before loading a map or everything is pixelated and weird(not a big deal).
3. Even maps like flat map and really flat map(ie. not maps made by me) are this weird default map now.
4. This really sucks because i lost all of my work because i was told to update the map and it said "Actually writing now" then the cmd closed.

If anyone is having any of these problems can you please help?

EDIT:
5. I have to totally restart my ds after i am done playing a map. If i press start the game freezes.
Answers:
1. Check in the directory of "C:\Documents and Settings\Youruserhere" (Obviously youruserhere is where you put your user)
2. I have the exact same problem and I'm running Wood 1.36, I'm assuming it's just a reoccurring bug.
3. Confused
blink.gif

4.How did you lose all of your work, your original file should still work, because the updater just makes the testmap in the directory I provided in answer 1... (Atleast for Windows XP Professional SP2.
5. Happens to me only when I'm using a different texture pack rather than the ELDPACK.

Bloody help..
I'm out of action stuck in bed with flu and so many posts

Anyway, bug report time...
Has anyone else had a problem where placing a solid block near a door (well in my case it was a door) causes you to jump in the air AND the block turned into water and spread over map.

If I quit without saving and go back to the map. The water spread now becomes dirt blocks, some of them with see through sides - & door graphics near where the spread first started

Deleting these 'water spread' blocks seems ok until I get back near to the place I placed the block which turned into water.then I get a water 'surface' but with transparent sides

Oh and due to this... A suggestion (while dscraft is still buggy).
How about when you open a map, a 'map.bak' is made (perhaps the date could be added to the title?).
So that if something happens to your map & it autosaves at just the wrong time or you accidentally save - you'll have a backup of the map before it f**k up

What if you have very limited SD card space?

Whatever you do; NEVER, and I mean, NEVER place or destroy ANYTHING that is RIGHT NEXT TO THE VOID!
At the edges of the map:
[T][E][V]
T = Tile
E = Tile next to the edge
V = Void

Placing or destroying ANYTHING near the void WILL cause a GME!

Also, I don't know if it is an error with the pack itself or a bug, but...
I am using the graphics pack that I am currently using with my Minecraft on my PC. The Paintrely pack. Well everytime I start MinecraftDS, the entire world is untextured/distorted/nothing but void. The way I fix this is:
Tittle Screen>Options>Texture Packs>DJ's Custom Paintrely Pack>*Select pack*>Loads World.

These bugs are very annoying.

I think it may be just me, but I think the controls are a bit finicky. When you are "aiming" at a block, sometimes the "target block" is not what you are facing. So if you like to "speed build" structures you my oftentimes find yourself destroying or placing that extra block you didn't want to.

Ok a few things,
First, YOURCOVERISSOMUCHBETTERTHANMINEOMG, lol ok your is cool, i just want that you change the letters at the bottom for this HBR-SMEA-FRA.

Second, OMG, Download the game penguins of madgascar, which is dsi enhaced, and see if you can play on a ds lite or ds phat, try downloading art acadamy and see if it workd on a ds lite or ds phat, or even in a dsi with a flashcart that can't run in dsi mode(supercard, acekard, r4 etc...), and this homebrew is dsi compatible, because when you use it with a iEVO and one of the dsiware hacks, you can use the extra ram and the faster cpu, theres's people reporting that they can load really big maps (i dont remember the number but it was something like this 2XXX x 2XXX).

I have nothing else to say XP

P.S. @dragonRider please stop beging for a new release when smealum thinks to release a new update he will, not because i didnt stopped aking him for a new update, and about crafting when he thinks to release the crafting he will and the same about survival mode so
STOP ASKING FOR WHEN WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THE SURVIVAL MODE AND THE MULTIPLAYER (this is for everyone not just for you).

Thank you for reading this post.

Do other "DSi enhanced" games have the 'i' I tried researching it but it seems like they don't, in '09 they change the ds cartridges to be able to provide more for dsi. The DSi labeled ones should only work on DSi and 3DS.
the DS labeled ones work on all of them and some have enhanced features for DSi.

Basically enhance is "backwards compatibility+" unless there are DSi game that get 'dumbed down' for the lack of a better word

Get a bigger memory card perhaps ??

Or perhaps we can have an option in an *.ini file e.g.-
'backup=0': Don't create a '*.bak' file
'backup=1': create a '*.bak' file
then the choice is down to the user

I tried to get those bugs.
Door cause jumping if you're on the block it is and click create while facing down. Also when looking down and placing door.
Didn't get water to spawn though.
i like the map back up idea.

The penguin's game says Additional dsi features

So if it says DSi it should say compatible with DS and if it says DS it should say something about the DSi extras - which I thing is the way it usually is done.
And I agree, that smealum is doing what he can on his time table not ours, so we shouldn't be constantly bugging him.

Ok, I'm having some problems with DSCraft on my DSTwo.
I'm using the NitroFS version but when I start the DSCraft.nds file, the DS's screens goes white and stays like that. I gotta turn my DSi off or it will stay like that for a while.
I have an 8GB microSD class 4, is the problem with the card?

Supercards don't support NitroFS. Try the FAT version.
