As I said before, when they properly finish the PC game. THEN move on to other platforms. Not half-ass one game and jump to ports. You dont see half-finished Cave Story ports now do you?
Ah- we have a cave story fan in our midst . Goody goody. I love cave story- but at one point someone was working on a DS version but it sucked ass. And the developer was trying to get a contract with Pixel to make it for iPod. Gosh I am so glad he didn't get it.

Plus- Notch has already begun minecraft PE while the pc version is in it's half finished stare. All it means is that updates will be slower for both of them.

That just means even slower updates for the 3DS. Remember Nintendo isnt exactly a popular system among the PC crowd.

And you don't think that minecraft would be awesome in true 3D and playable anywhere... Hmm....

I think they should fix the game on PC and properly finish it (I mean seriously? The chests and signs STILL have lighting bugs) before they even think about porting it other consoles. I still think the Xperia and Xbox versions are here WAAAAAAYY too early. Plus if you want to play it anywhere buy a smart device.

Have you ever even played the game for at least two day/night cycles?!
Ive played since the halloween update.
Me too! I pirated it during halloween update came out. I saw that old roller coaster video and I think one of the yogcast or some other group going into the nether and then convinced my mom to use her credit card to buy it... :) I still play occasionally when new updates come out.

I pirated the alpha version and liked the game quite and bought it since it was dirt cheap back then (swooped it up only a few hours before the update for 10 bucks) and played it almost non-stop for 3 months (back when you know, good updates were coming out) then I slowed down quite a bit after I got diamonds and built a few Nether forts. then a got back into it again when the Adventure Update came out, made a new world just for it. In about a month I beat the Ender Dragon and a week later I figured out how to get the dragon egg. 3 updates later and I got a useless egg and supposedly "Beat" the game. Now im working on building one of those 8-bit computers (the ones that are barely stronger then a calculator) with redstone. In fact, if it werent for the sad mod system they have now, I would have sold my account a while ago.
I'm glad that Jeb_ took it over from Notch though... It used to be fun waiting for Notch's updates but as time passed and he failed his promises, I just stopped playing as much... It seems as if Jeb_ has been doing a great job so far and I'm waiting for more content from him after he and his team finish up that "mod api."

I wish it would happen, but it won't. Unfortunately, Jeb and Notch overlooked a part in their contract with Microsoft, a part that stated that they could only release Minecraft on XBLA, so they will not be able to make this for any other consoles now.

Well, shit.

Maybe they can make a minecraft type game but change the name and the monsters? And change the animal/texture designs a bit?

Absolutely not, I don't think Minecraft is suited to handheld play as it is, since the game designed for PC makes use of left and right clicks.

They'd also more than likely release a version as complete with clearly incomplete stuff like NPC villagers that have less interaction than other mobs.

look this:

The same goes to 3DS.

Also, I think that Minecraft concept fits great on PC, but only on PC (periodical updates, tons of modding, etc)

Well, the newer handhelds (3DS and Vita) have online capabilities, so maybe the texture packs and stuff would be downloadable somehow.

besides, he said "no plans YET" which doesn't mean never.

Later was said "never", here: http://www.minecraft...ystation%20vita

And online capabilities are not the only requiriment to put a console version on par with PC version. The hardware must have online capabilities AND free access for modders development (vita and 3DS will never allow home-developers to mod anything more than "create your track and your car" because they fear piracy more than fox news fear the communism).
