How is that Nunchuck/64 thing mind blowing? They had a comfortable, popular design, and they decided to use it again. And I suspect the left handle on the Gamecube controller is also similar to these.

The nunchuck design is almost exactly the same as the middle prong of the n64 controller. I just realized that in the comparative pic.

Its mindblowing that good design decisions can be so simple some time.

Maybe its just nintendo getting rid of some spare parts they had lying around from the n64.
