Hello guys, does anyone know what is best option to capture some packets from miiverse before it closes

I want to capture packets in case someone ever wants to create some sort of private servers

I am using windows 10 laptop and both my console and laptop are connected using wifi so if anyone can point me to some good packet capturing solution it would be great

Also as a side question: What do i need to enable in settings in order for my gamepad home button led to blink when i get notification on mii verse while turned off, i would like to see if led on my gamepad even works before miiverse closes, thanks in advance :)

It doesn't exist (but if the console is on, every some minutes it will check and blink the led -- if you enabled the notification icon in meemvers settings)

As for sniffing, Adrian Kordi's website shows you how to connect from a PC, including using Fiddler to dump your login info and the needed certificate to connect - export that certificate to .cer, feed it to Fiddler, and enable HTTPS man in the middle using the certificate you now have

No real need to dump "packets" when everything to my best knowledge is all HTTP/S, the real challenge will be imitating the server-side software

@PF2M and Adrian himself will know better

I'm trying the exact same thing right now as well.

I haven't seen anything with wireshark. I believe I once saw that miiverse uses NSSRead and NSSLWrite functions but I can't remember the post.

@NinStar, And there's already a thread discussing about it. The opinions are quite mixed, clearly because many of them don't like Nintendo in general.

Ninty is probably going to send a DMCA to the Pretendo project at some point, we just know it.
