I forgot about that. No Switches got bricked but some 3DS consoles did indeed get bricked, even with a genuine Gateway product,

The sequence of things here is hilarious. Mega corp. creates product and methods to prevent cracking. Security researchers and hacking groups crack it anyway. Hacking group develops anti-crack strategies in their own cracking device/CFW so they can be the only one and profit off of it....

this was partly why 3DS flashcarts didn't exactly pop off even to casuals unlike the R4, acekard series, etc. carts for NDS and this is why i doubt it's likely any flashcart will pop off like they used to, this and the fact that nintendo are well aware of their existence more than they used to be. and if its not nintendo a lot of creators do it to themselves the 3DS communtity is still like this if not with flashcarts it usually more or less it's selling mods and or texture packs, but this is something that is more underground so you won't really know about it unless you stumble upon it on accident or actively search for it

You forgot SX OS that also had 'brick code' if the license or firmware was tampered with. Some or more users had bricked their Switch from using it.

All I see is some dude bricking his switch trying to fuck around with firmware and trying to reverse engineer another cfw. Actively trying to get in a modify it and crack it and he ended up fuckng his switch up.

People take this and then try to say that regular users will get bricked. It's just silly.

Tell me about it!... I had mine modded since the beginning and I had NO CLUE an ext HDD wouldn't work until recently i was all excited and i tried it SMGDH. I really should have known... but i thought 'there is no way big N is that stupid to make people constantly swap out sd cards for their primarily docked Switch'... again, its big N.. i should have guessed.
