Finally Apple are gonna be hit in the ass for overpricing their things, GO MICROSOFT!
Since there is all those companies, they are sure to compete for lower prices

Yeah, cause you know, the Zune wasn't an overpriced piece of garbage that flopped hard on it's ass in contrast to the success of the iPod

/sarcasm

Windows Phone hasn't had a hot launch despite what people think, everyone I know has a Black Berry, iPhone or Android based phone. They will never match the numbers of other brands because there is no brand recognition for their software on that market. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is overpriced and the HP Slate isn't all that much better then the iPad in terms of what it can do. Microsoft is once again late to the game trying to delve into a market where another company has dominated, they didn't have overwhelming success launching the Xbox originally, or the Zune, or Windows Phone because they were too late to the game as other companies have beaten them to the punch.

Mmm, actually they just need Oprah. (Check Kinect sales numbers).
Unfortunately Oprah already loves the iPad.
Microsoft is screwed.

I'm just going to get the next revision of the iPad. Apple knows how to do these things right...

Giving a fat lady cake to advertise your product isn't always the right way to do things.

I've come to learn something about this debate.

Whether one is superior to the other is irrelevant. Fanboys will still flock to their saviors time and time again.

Brand loyalty is kinda what drives capitalistic markets anyway. Look at Apple, they have the worst brandboys than any other tech brand, and that's why they are able to churn out the same product with minimal enhancements and call it a numbered release. Now with Microsoft, I actually want them to take some market share. More options is better for the entire consumer base. Especially if the product that's bullying it's way into the market has quality.

Just to clear this up, I don't know if this tablet from Microsoft will have quality. I am just saying that it's better to have quality options, than just options.

SAUCE?!?
actually i like ketchup

Whether microsoft shows new tablet PC's
IM STILL GONNA STICK WITH NINTENDO's 3DS!!

What the hell does the 3DS has anything to do with this? Stay on topic.

QUOTE(TheDarkSeed @ Dec 16 2010, 04:13 AM) They are not phones, nor was anything said about mobile gaming. Reading from the sauce, micro$oft plans to release "iPad killing tablet PCs" although it won't take much to outmatch the iPad(hardware wise) they better have great programmers to back these devices up, or this might go downhill.

But it doesn't matter much to me because I have my eyes set on a tablet PC already and it's none of these...

What the hell is Micro$oft?

Just one question, did you actually read this article?

The real article is here: http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Mobile-and-Wirele...ons-Why-303509/

That one linked there was just a copy-paste of the first part of the article, including user comments and stuff.

I however don't even consider the iPad to be a tablet PC. It's an iPod with a larger screen. it isn't a computer with a tablet shape. I can't do programming on it, I can't use whichever programs I want on it. I have to find apps in the app store if I want something.. or use google docs. I'm all for a tablet PC with windows software. gives you more options as a user.
