Gaming Microsoft Security Essentials crashes immediately upon opening.

I've tried restarting. This never used to happen, but I noticed it after I got rainmeter, then again, I haven't opened it in a few days, so it mightve stopped 2 days ago for all I know...

I don't think it's a virus or anything. The only things I've done in the past week are get rainmeter, browse the web, play minecraft.

What's wrong here?
 
Does it remain working or does it close (can you see the process in task manager or no) . It might just be that rainmeter modified one of the files used by it or it updated itself & something went wrong .

Try reinstalling or uninstalling & reinstalling that should fix those types of problems . If it keeps doing the same thing after the reinstall then it might be a virus or a malware .
 
Well, I did a portable installation of Rainmeter, so it installed to 1 folder only, it couldn't have affected it :/ I'll try reinstalling
