Microsoft has recently launched the June Game Development Kit (GDK) for developers. One of the GDK's features is that more memory has been allocated on Xbox Series S for developers to have access to, which could lead to improved performance of games on the system.

“Hundreds of additional megabytes of memory are now available to Xbox Series S developers,” the video announcement details. “This gives developers more control over memory, which can improve graphics performance in memory-constrained conditions.”

In my mind, I'm thinking of something similar to what Nintendo did for various 3DS games.
Yeah, where it reboots the system for free up almost ALL the ram for the 3ds game. It's quite brilliant.

Imagine purposely gimping a dev kit's resources, only to unlock it for you later. 🙄

Douche move in the first place, Microsoft.
Kinda like how modern game devs would purposely remove content before a game's release only to repackage said removed content as "DLC" just to profiteer beyond the base game sales. The gift that keeps on giving 🙄😒🤷🏽‍♂️
