Hi, I've noticed that on the back of my micro sd card (Kingston Japan 2GB) has a little black sticker. A corner of the sticker somehow peeled off a bit when it arrived. Should I take it off or leave it on? My Cyclods and the reader works fine for now. If I take off the sticker it seems like it gonig to leave a stickie stuff on the micro sd or maybe not I'm not sure.

Will something bad happen if I take it off? Cuase I see like dots under the sticker circle gold color dots which seems like it's built into the microsd

If it works fine now, is there any point? You've created a topic in which you've answered your own question.

Well he didnt really ask if it would still work, he only asked if he should peel off this sticker to expose whatever is underneath. Since well, if he does (Like i would have done already since i get irritated by small things) it might break it somehow.

It's probably there to prevent those "gold dots" from shorting with any other metal parts.

Its fine, ive done it with mine, just peel it off!
That's not a very good idea. There is a reason all MicroSD's have that "sticker" there.
My 1GB Kingston Taiwan doesn't have one, but my two other Kingstons made in Japan do.

Doesn't change the fact that taking the sticker off can be potentially dangerous, leaving the back open to exposure, consequently (potentially) shortening its lifetime.

Bizzump!

My new Kingston 2GB from Japan has these weird dots. I had to take the sticker off because it was really thick, causing my microSD to not make contact with my flash cart.
But seriously, what are these things? My Kingston 2GB from Taiwan (which is a superior card, not being racist) does not have these.

Will anything bad happen if I put scotch tape over it or should I just leave it alone?

If anyone needs a picture just ask.
