Hey guys,

I've asked this in the normal NAND mod thread as well, but never got an reply.

How do I install the mod, in such a way that I can use my 3DS normally without removing the mod?

I'd prefer the micro-USB mod but anything would work.

Quincy

Hi,

Maybe this can help you. ;)

Micro USB connector installation on Nintendo 3DS (normal)

Just for fun, pic of micro USB integration on normal 3DS !
I've done it for mine but I don't think I can offer it for my customers because of the time wasted to archieve this result. ^_^'

I. Diagrams

The agreed color for GND wire is black and it is linked like this with standard Mini/Micro USB cables.

I put in the proper wiring diagrams respecting the location of the GND and follow a logical / memo-technical order for others wires and colors :

- 3DS XL + Micro USB modified SD cable diagrams :

- 3DS diagrams :

About CLK point, I linked it with wire to an immovable pad like this :

II. Micro USB connector installation

NB : The micro USB connector is maintained at the proper height by the screw when tightened (without touching anything else).

no, and it will probably fry the nand by doing so..
the nand chip is woking just like a MMC (a SD alike) card...
it would be like connecting a sd card to a usb port.. you can't do it, it will not work, you need a reader...

so i could use the built in sd card reader of my laptop?

yep, i do think so, depends if the program we use (i forgot it's name) supports it or not...
you can't use that memory like a normal memory where you can copy and paste files, you have to use a program to copy the entire raw data and restore it..

anyway, i bought an usb sd card reader for 10 bucks in retail, you can get it super cheap online and they will most likely work

its called windisk32. I used it for raspberry pi. Flashing memory counterary to copying and pasting replaces the whole sd card instead of just a portion
