I've tried to get the multiplayer to run off of different loaders but haven't had any luck. Tried all the alt dols and no go. Has anyone gotten this to work or know of any confirmed methods?

Indeed, the issue with dual-layer DVDs was fixed. MP2 multiplayer's problem is related to dol reloading, not dual-layer discs.
