Hacking Metroid Prime: Federation Force Local Play Error

Hi
every time i try to play local with my friend we get disconnected right away or dont find the game even thought we're inches away of each other , the only time we managed to spawn together was when the 3ds's were besides each other nearly touching but we cant play like that
we tried both the cia and .3ds version same problem with and without the update
we're both at 11.2 emunand
anyone one know what'up or have a solution?

Do you have Luma?
Try updating it.
I had the same issue with Mario Kart 7 with a friend of mine
My friends o3ds is on 11.2 with a9lh and luma3ds same with my n3dsxl.
I had an European version of MK7 while he has the USA version. I always got error with local play.
What fixed it is that I deleted my copy of MK7 and downloaded the USA version. That worked fine.
Also both of our dses are USA region.

Had this problem with mk7, it's usually from a bad conversion from 3ds/z to cia. Install one from freeshop.
