update!

i play about 2 hours
with 1200/864/1600
with DR version!

when i reached the open area in Desert i crashed 3 times
so i delete the log and continue without it,, but a little more blury .

i think in open areas it has problem any suggestion?
If you could reproduce this issue, you could send save in that place so I could debug it... But well. We are still in test phase with this because we don't know if there is enough memory available for 1080p buffers to not crash, so it may be a case where you reached a memory peak and I need to lower max resolution for it to not occur.

I had the v1, crashed once on the desert area while scanning a tower. Saw that you made some updates haven’t crashed on v6 since then.
I run 1224, 560, 2266. Handheld… it does sometime stutter loading new areas but it’s fine otherwise.

I think I would need to up cpu clocks

I don't OC CPU at all. You definitely need to up GPU. 768 is essentially what the switch runs docked, there is no damage risk from bumping up to that, and that should smooth out any stuttering.

Personally I'm using 1963/768/2133 for handheld, 1963/998/2133 for docked. They may be a bit overkill because I use them for 30 FPS games to run at 60 FPS.

You can try 1224/614/1600 handheld + 1224/998/1996 for docked. I guess it should scale well enough to not be worse than stock experience. If you will still have drops, increase RAM or GPU accordingly.
Has anyone made a mod to fun this in 4K?

Hey do you do commissions? I'm just trying to get MP4 to run 4k in emulator, I can just use 2x or 3x scaling and it looks fantastic, but the scanner won't work when using scaling for some reason in Vulkan, works with OpenGL but that runs poorly. I don't wanna buy a Switch 2 just wanna do a one and done with this game I'm a longtime fan so willing to commission a mod that either fixes scanner or runs game native 4K with hopes that scanner will work if it's native and not scaled if native is even possible.

could be, but I don't see the gpu even hitting 100% so it doesnt seem to be the limiting factor in the scenes where it does hiccup. gpu usage is lower than i would have expected in most scenes.

I run it at that and have no stutters whatsoever. If you have stutters, up your OC. Fixes it 9/10 times.

Upped cpu to the boost level 1785… fixed it almost completely. Gpu is still never hitting 100% could also be my sdcard loading slow into new areas

I've never oc'd my Switch before and from what I understand it's only good to oc ram on Erista models, not cpu or gpu. Will this still work well with Erista and only ram oc'd? Or will performance tank too much?

You can certainly OC gpu to 768mhz, cause that's what the Switch does every time you go to docked mode.

Shouldn't it be safe to go to the factory clocks of the components, so 1785/921/1600?

The components are underclocked even in Docked mode after all. If the Switch doesn't get too hot, it should be fine, right?

Anyway, tried the Native version with the above values (my sys-clk doesn't allow more), and the intro sequence definitely has some heavy slowdown. Not stutter, slowdown, which seems to be how they coded the game.

I'll try the DR version in a moment. What is exactly the difference between the DR version and playing unmodded?

Will it run at a higher res than unmodded when I overclock?

Anyway, thanks a lot for the mod!

Edit: Actually feels like the game is just running at half speed when it can't hit 60. So everything will be in slow motion, and this can f up the real-time video sequences (audio desync).

hey just wanna say we appreciate all the work you've done and continue do for the community!
Thank you very much

where do you have the versions ?
i tried v4 DR
i want to try v6 DR where can i find it? (in your first post i see only v4 rar)

Im using your v6 patch with ReverseNX forced Docked mode on handheld and its running great for me and im not even OC'ing too much thank you!!

There are stutters in the camera fly moment when save loaded. In some places wores in some better. Dock mod. Non DR patch. With DR patch everything is ok. And its not About OC, I've tried maximum clocks and still stutters

Scanning works with 2x scaling in my case, using Citron in Vulkan
