Everyones saying it looks better than any Wii title and it plays better than any console FPS. Should do a lot better than previous Metroid titles.

Oh hey, another Metroid title.
Yay, I can be let down again!

Only metroid for me was Super Metroid (or Metroid Zero Mission).
While I agree that a FPS Metroid game IS the direction Nintendo was right to choose, the series has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Hmm... last title of that trilogie... *cough*Nintendo stupid ?*cough*
Well they could always drag it out over and over again just like the Tomb Raider series so it becomes stale.

Its the last in the Prime story anyway. They'll either have something new for the next game or they'll just keep it the way it is and have a different story.

I have watched the first of those three (rapidshare....). The game looks totally incredible. I have a feeling that the interface concepts are going to be used by a lot of developers when designing FPS style games for the Wii. M:P 1&2 on the GameCube had a really great interface for the joystick, with the lock on stuff, better than the Halo series for a single player FPS if you ask me.

On a side note, the interface for Dragon Quest swords will also probably be copied by other developers for Wii exclusive RPG games.

The Metroid Prime series isn't FPS.
I know this argument is ancient as hell, but I'm still surprised to people assume it's an FPS, simply because of it's perspective.
it's first person adventure, put it in third person and it's almost like Zelda.

I've never wanted a game so bad before.

It's my opinion that if you're let down by previous Metroid titles, then you're just setting the bar too high and that's all there is to it. In my mind theres few series that are as consistently phenomenal as Metroid.
