'Twas the night before Tempmas, when all through the site
Not a Wii was stirring, not even the white;
The stockings were hung by the news feed with care,
In hopes that Tempy Claus soon would be there;

The members were nestled all snug with PCs,
While visions of softmods filled their daydreams;
And admins carefully cleaning the trash,
Hoping to forgo the dreaded BANNED sash,

When out on the forum there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to my seat to see what was the matter.
Off to the computer I flew like a flash,
Only to be met by a sitewide crash.

The 404 sign sank my heart below,
Any hopes of an update as far as I know,
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a quick refresh and Tempmas was here,

With a little message, so short and sweet,
Hark the annual holiday treat,
And so begins the final wait,
Waiting for Tempy Claus to step up to the plate.

To my ears I heard the beautiful sound,
A brand new notification I'd found,
With a longing just the slightest obscene;
"Could today, also, be June 15?"

Tempy is here, hip-hip hooray!
So glad to see him here today!
Coming with updates and holiday cheer,
And SHA-256 codes so there's nothing to fear,

Said Tempy Claus as he passed out the files,
"'Tis once a year I can bring such smiles,"
But I heard him cry out, as he flew out of sight,
