Gaming Mega Man Legends 3 Prologue -Hype-

The thing is, they had the prototype complete, they showed it to the higher ups in the company and indeed, that's where the higher ups said that if the prototype didn't sell well they would cancel the game.

It is a shame then that we weren't even given the chance to prove that the game could sell well before they canned it... But with Keiji Inafune no longer working for the company... I figured this would happen sooner or later. While the FAQ says they didn't cancel it because of his departure (they didn't) the simple fact is that he was a powerful advocate in the company for the game. Without him they never would have even gotten that far into development and when he left, they lost the biggest key player in seeing it's release.

When the person who created some of your top selling series says "Hey dumbasses, this will sell... Let's finish making it!" you listen... (he's the guy who created Mega man after all, as well as Dead Rising and several other key series).

Uh...

Lock this thread? I dunno. There is nothing else to talk about it, such hype wasted.

I hate you capcom.

Yea, I'm pretty pissed off-I knew as soon as they pushed the prologue back, that something was going on

Smooth move Capcom.

Come on, guys. Don't hate on Capcom.
If they released actual good games, it'd take away from their time developing overrated fighters.

All I ever see Pip do is shit all over every thread lmao.

EDIT: Oh, and my friend and I knew this would happen, we were just praying that we'd be wrong, and now we're both pretty pissed lmao. He's a big Megaman fan in general, and I just want good games on the 3DS already. I'm so broke and with the lack of titles, i'm quite tempted to sell it.

Well this just knocked the wind out of my sails. This game was the main reason i bought a 3DS. If "Crapcom" doesn't want to do anything more with the Mega Man series it should license or sell it to Nintendo. They did this for Mega Man 6 (NES) and to me was one of the better games from that era. I am thinking about putting up my 3DS and using my newly rebuilt Phat til something better happens like a PS1 emu or a better SNES EMU. That way i can play all 3 of the X series on the go.

Yeah that sux...I also bought a 3DS for this game alone...Oh well...back to my B/C PS3 with MML 1 & 2

That would be awesome.

I know, right? I can't wait for the yearly SF4 variant release...

QUOTECapcom community manager Seth Killian announced that the Arcade Edition will be the final version of the Street Fighter IV series.

Oh right.

What I meant to say was "I can't wait for Street Fighter 5 to come out next year!"

Nah, it'll be Super Hyper Ultra Super Street Fighter IV Mk2 : Mega Ultra hyper Super Fighting DX.

Or something like that. Who cares? BlazBlue's infinitely superior anyways~

Are you people seriously gonna start hating on Street Fighter because of this? Street Fighter has nothing to do with Mega Man Legends, and although I'm sure you guys would love to blame someone or something, there is no blame to give except to maybe Capcom as a whole. But even then, it's not like the people that made these games are responsible, it's the higher ups in charge of marketing and business that makes these decisions (At least in this case).

And Blazblue is definitely not superior to Street Fighter. I won't argue which is better due to that being a matter of opinion, but neither game is very high above the other if you were to say one is better. They're both great games in their own right, unless of course you're a raging weaboo who needs to have anime tits in their face while playing video games. In which case yes, Blazblue is indeed better.

I don't dislike Street Fighter, I just like to make fun of the fact it is milked by Capcom, resulting in games with titles that sound like a computer has output a word soup in an attempt to differentiate this version of Street Fighter from the eleven trillion others. I, also, think the more recent iterations of the franchise just aren't that fun. Then again, I've always preferred Guilty Gear, KoF and BlazBlue, so you'll no doubt consider me an uneducated plebian or a "raging weaboo who needs to have anime tits in his face".

Back on topic, yes - Capcom's management (and their business strategy, which seems to be "milk Street Fighter and Resident Evil to death with yearly expansion packs and overpriced DLC") is to blame for most of Capcom's recent foul-ups (Inafune-san's recent departure; the baffling explanations for not localising Monster Hunter Portable 3rd or Ace Attorney Investigations 2; the attempts to combat used sales of Resi : Mercs 3D; the cancellation of both Legends 3 and Mega Man Universe and so on so forth). As a Mega Man fan (and an Ace Attorney fan), I'm fed up. The higher ups at Capcom continue to show just how little they care about their fan bases, and it's a relief that they seem to be losing face in the gaming community as a whole, as well as some of their top creative minds.

Yeah I never said anything about disliking street fighter, I got SSFIV and I downloaded AE the day it came out. Lmao. . it's still fun to poke fun at the fact that Capcom does that shit a LOT though, rofl.

Totally, on the other hand, SF is much better for those thighs and ass lovers.
