never ever watched Blue Gender, but I'd recommend Dangaioh (old school) and Heroic Age. Soon I'm gonna watch this Break Blade series, it sure looks good.

Not anime (technically?), but Megas XLR.

Awesome show, definitely worth checking out.

My mom showed me one she used to watch when she was a kid. It's called Mazinger Z and I kinda liked what I saw. Not much of an anime fan though.

    What's said above, plus:

    Mecha centered:
    Evangelion
    Heroic Age
Hoshi no Koe (short, 1 episode)
Nadesico (didn't watch it yet. I don't know how good it is)
Planzet (Movie 40min. good CGI grahics, too short)
    RahXephon
Top o Nerae! / Top wo nerae! 2 (gunbuster/diebuster) (old but very good series. From Gainax).
Vandread (hm, I think I never watch it fully yet)

Less mecha centered, mecha appearance only :
    Full metal Panic (& Fumofu)
Shin Mazinger Shougeki! Z Hen on Television (Mazinger Z/Goldorak)

    Not mecha centered, more robo-ish/transformed:
    Mai Hime
    Sacred Seven
    Saikano (Saishuuheiki Kanojo)

As of "good" it's up to your own taste.
    Each is own.

    TTGL is awesome ofcourse.
And if you're like me, and like supernatural/mecha, I recommend:
    Code Geass
    Asura Cryin' 1 + 2
    Kishin Houkou Demonbane

Just gonna upvote some of the already said animes:

    Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann
    Gunbuster / Diebuster
    Neon Genesis Evangelion

Great animes. The first two are pretty simple "Good fellows VS bad fellows" animes, the latter one is a bit more complicated though, and could confuse you massively [IMG]

break blade was cool, too bad i have to wait for new episodes, tried watching full metal panic, only got to episode 8 and got bored with it, no mech action at all. plus the girl is annoying as hell

    I hate Gurren Lagann.
Anyway, if you liked Code Geass there's a very good chance you will like Gundam 00.

Only liked Neon Genesis Evangelion because that is one of the few animes I watched in my childhood. Never really got attached to the others.
