PS1/2 mcfree boot with slim 90001 code 2c

Hello guys,

I have a ps2 model 90001 and code 2c. I read somewhere that below 8c I can softmod the ps2.

I bought a memory card sony brand 8mb with free mcboot 1.94 installed on it but when I start the ps2 with the memory card into slot 0 (left) it only show the standard menu. Browser and system configuration.

Does that mean my ps2 isnt compatible ? Or the memory card isnt good ? I can see theses folders in the browser:
APPS
BOOT
SYS-CONF
and 4 mcbootfolder

If someone can suggest me if I need to buy an ealier modell of ps2 or if it the memory card that is the problem ? I plan to buy a ps3-ps2 usb memory adapter to remake the installation of the free mcboot on the memory card.

Im not an expert but maybe you should install free mcboot to your ps2 system, the files are
Already installed on memory card right? But not in the system. Its like someones ps2 with free mcboot
Had this memory card and now the files are just there.
