Hacking Mario Kart 8 Deluxe wave 2 problem.

I'm on atmosphere latest version until today Mario Kart 8 deluxe was working fine and I had access to wave 1 of the DLC, today I did the 2.1.0 update for wave 2 but when I launch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe it marks me: An update of the downloadable content is necessary. Suddenly the game starts but I no longer have access to wave 1 or 2. I installed Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [DLC Booster Course Pass] [0100152000023001][v0] but it still doesn't work.

I'm not sure exactly how related it is, but I just dumped the new update and installed it on yuzu. When I tried to start mk8, I stopped having access to the dlc courses and had error code 2162-0101 display on yuzu. I assumed that the 118kb dlc file would be valid for each update, so I didnt bother redumping it. I went back and dumped the updated dlc file, and fixed it for me. It worth noting that the updated dlc file is exactly the same size as the previous one.

guys, you need to buy the second Wave DLC for the update works, boot the update and DLC are chained, if you install the Update but no the DLC you get that error.

only when you get the NEW DLC, the update will work.

It's working on my switch, I only have DLC with title ID 0100152000023001 installed (march wave 1 DLC) and latest update 2.1.0 (UPD 12).

Already finished both cups. Not sure what new DLC everyone's talking about.

what your looking for, version is v65536 and filesize 149kb

Ok I just checked one of those nsp release sites and apparently you need to get a new nsp DLC file for wave 2:

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe [Wave 1] [0100152000023001][v65536]

It still says wave 1 but I think this is the file you need to play wave 2 tracks. I just updated everything through tinfoil shop and probably the DLC got updated too

The last update is not working in Yuzu for me. That DLC file you mention is exactly the same I had for wave 1.

if you have a mod with changed strings of layered fs of the previous update, you must to get or build news for the DLC and update to work.

As @randy_w said above, you need to look for a DLC file identified as [0100152000023001][v65536]. I had the same problem as everyone else, and with this installed, everything works. It's out there, at least on one site.

Had a similar problem. I went to that certain site and grabbed the 2.1.0 update and loaded the game and got the same problem you described. HOURS later, somebody finally uploaded the the 'DLC Booster Course Pass' (I think they should have called it simply, 'Wave 2'). I installed that with DBI and everything is working perfectly now.

You are the special kind of ungrateful, aren't you? Damn.

Anyway, context-wise for everyone again: latest MK8 update requires you to have the latest DLC installed if you use the Course Pass, else remove the DLC and play without new tracks.
