San Francisco - A man from San Francisco has succesfully got a new career. He sues the senders of spam for money.

According to the Associated Press, Danial Balsam quitted his job as a marketeer eight years ago, to focus on sueing spammers. Sending of unwanted commercial e-mails is prohibited in the United States. Balsam, who operates from his website www.danhatespam.com which he uses to sue spammers. 'It's going pretty well,' he says. He claims to have made more then 1 million dollars.

Some people think Balsam is misusing the law. He makes the most money through small amounts of cash, given to him by companies to stop them from getting sued by him, which could result in way higher cost and a reputation loss. People also claimed that he has hundreds of e-mail adresses, so he can recieve a lot of spam.

Balsam sees that the other way round:'I think I'm doing it right, because I'm helping to clean up the internet a bit.'

Misspelled title, should be man lives off spam.
I don't see how you can dislike him for doing this. It's not hurting anyone aside from the people sending the spam, and they deserve it.

Hum...
Interesting career option.
I have to choose a career soon, so might as well sue spammers and make the world a better place(while making a nice amount of cash too!)

I almost thought that the title meant that a man has been living off eating only SPAM for a long time. I was looking at it from the index. Wrong kind of spam I guess.

Hope that guy has fun with his job. It's seems to be cool. He gets money for checking his spam box.
