Mame on a old computer

mame runs crappy on my computer i can only run games on it in windows

is there any version of mame that can play all the new games and maybe is made for older computers like mines ?

I remember myself running all the 2D MAME games in a 800mhz Celeron

i know ! the old mame runs all the games reguler speed on my pc

but when i downloaded the new mame all the games are laggy
