Here's my take on it:

Made these for my consoles, tried to make it closer to Luna3DS.
Can you make me this with Copyright (lol) and Press befor the Keys? I use the same "Key binds" too... (Have a New 3DS XL Hyrule Edition 64GB SD Card)
Would like it, becasue im too dumb for Photoshop...
Edit: When you make it please without Uncart, Decrypt9 can this now too...

Sure, here:

It is not hard though, I do it in Paint.NET, just as i told @Manny_el_portu:

Sure. First you need to install the fonts provided by @tiduscrying . The you can either use his .psd file or work on an already made image. If you use the .psd file you'll require Photoshop or a compatible program (I used Paint.NET with a PSD plugin).

Note that some sections of the .PSD file are not text. For those section or if you work on a PNG image directly, just cover what you want changed in black and create a new text element above using the provided font (font size used is 12).

By the way, can someone remind me the link for the website that converts PNGs to the appropriate BIN file?

I spent way too long on making a splash bottom that didn't end up looking like a complete mess (to me). Hope you guys like it! Check it out!

Originally, I had the L+A, L+R, and L prompts, but I didn't even have enough Arm9 payload applications to bind to every button, so I removed them...

Had a skin custom made and needed to make a splash to match the pixel art aesthetic on the 2ds. Could easily change the logo as it's on color.

edit: add this with the mac os 7 theme (that plays blank banshee btw) and you're in for some serious vibe

Continuous splash for custom skin (yes I know it's a bit small, even though it matched the mockup I think it might be because the screens are sunk a bit), but still a cool splash for 2DS friends as it in itself is continuous from top to bottom.
Too lazy to do another mockup so you get a picture.

edit: added an adjusted version with more interesting visuals for people without my skin (everyone)
the zip includes top screen logo versions for every 3ds because i have nothing better to do
Here's one:

Luma3DS displays the splash screen for 3s. But is it added to the boot sequence or is it continuing in the background? No idea, worst case scenario it adds 3s to the boot time.

The dev of luma said it slows boot time, whether or not it completely stalls it for 3 seconds I don't know.

that is a nice theme and it is my main theme
really suits the thing im goin for
because ya know with the old gameboy clunky look of a 2ds how could you not go vaporwave
and there were mac plus themes
but thats too obvious
so yours was perfect
Thanks man. Keep up the V A P O R. :P

This is fantastic! I've been looking for something really basic that would help me remember what buttons I had set, and this is amazing. :)

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
