Heya guys.

No, I'm not here to bitch about one OS is better than the other. I'm not even here to say which one I prefer. Or my opinion on the OS at all.

But this thread also relates to how I feel about iOS vs Android threads.

----

I hate how when one person wants to have a nom-biased discussion about the pros, cons, differences between any OS. And just wants to talk among other techies who happen to use all sorts of platforms.

Each threads ALWAYS turns into a flame war. And then the OP doesn't get what he wanted out of the thread, people get warned for getting out of hand and nobody is happy in the end.

I really wish we could have a civil discussion about these sorts of things, but time and time again this community(And I imagine most ;P) cannot keep it civil.

It always rolls over into "Which has the loudest fanboys". Like today in IRC I had a really good conversation with somebody(Sorry I forgot your name ;__; ) about iOS and Android. And it was very civil, and we both expressed what we like and hate about each OS and I feel that went extremely well.

But I guess that's because it was 1-on-1 and not a whole forum.

Anyway, it's a shame that there's not often a time where we can get a good discussion going on about those two topics.

Anyway, thanks for reading I guess.

Maybe I should start a purpose flame war xD (you know Windows rule because they are made by Microsoft which in turn make Xbox and that is why they rule!).
With that kind of flawed logic the Temp would be a better place.

*btw I was using sarcasm if you didn't realise*

Maybe people need to stop using "vs" in the middle of Mac and PC/Windows. Haha.

Perhaps fanboys always turn them into a fight-to-the-death... but then, who am I kidding. Any thread with "opposing" products/views/whatever will be turned into a no-holds-barred competition by fanboys.

My solution for Mac "vs" PC/Windows has and always will stay the same: buy both. I have a W7 laptop right now but in a month or so I'll have money to buy a MacBook Pro, I need it for school/future work anyway.

Product vs Product threads are almost as annoying as blog posts where someone points out things that are obvious.

Even more annoying when you go off-topic just so you feel superior.

It's a blog post for a reason, so he can express views/feelings/problems/ideas etc.

btw Zygie mine was called Mac Vs. PC then as a subtitle I put (it's not what you think).

So people knew it wasnt a blatant OMGROFLMAO MAO MAO MAO MAO MAC IS BETTER CAUSE THEY HAVE BIG SCREEN!.
Almost made it clear it wasnt one of those in my OP.

It's completely on-topic.

And I don't need any help feeling superior.

I didn't think that saying that his topic is annoying is on topic but oh well.

Now people are discussing legal issues and where Apple would be if this happened etc.

Nearly as annoying as you stumping around the Temp acting like you own the place. Just saying
But not even close to as annoying as people like yourself.

That was rather weak.

I went for truth, not strength.
