Hacking M3 Sakura cheats won't work

M3sakura is like the best firmware
and g6 team , i have download the firmware from ndsnow.co.cc and re download (or install) it but still won't work.
So if i have enabled some cheats like unlock characters for the mario kart , its not working.
and the cheats are always on.
Do i have to press anything before i can actually apply the cheats to the game or any more ideas?

Have you accidentally turned on DS Download Play mode/Wireless mode? That usually cancels cheats.

Yea i have put download play for the mario kart but not for the other games...

it takes 10 seconds after the game is finished loading before the cheats become active, so load the game and wait 10-15seconds before pressing buttons
1 more thing, download Sakura 1.40x if you want the Mario Kart cheats to work
or probably the last thing you could do is read the Manual on how to use cheats

As I said, try reformatting it with something like the panasonic formatter, and then copy over the new firmware onto that.
