Hacking M3 gba

I found this M3 GBA pack on kick gaming. I really like that I can change shells. My question is though will it only work with the M3 slot 1 card? Can it be used as a stand alone GBA game? Does it read the game I want from my slot 1 sd card or do i have to but the game on the NOR?

it has no NOR, only RAM and can therefore nor be used standalone. And it works with non-M3Real cards, but with severe limitations - no enhanced features (cheats, real-time save) and RAM support limited as well (16 MB instead of 32). And GBA ExpLoader does not auto-patch Flash1M saves (Pokémon, SMA4). The clock does work, though.
