hi, i'm new here

If anyone had played this game, our opinion would be the same; the game's cool, but the english voiceacting sucks till the point of trying to rip my ears off so the blood gushing out of my ears would block the voices. I'm pretty sure japanese voice would be much better.

Anyhow... if anyone could make an undubed version of this game, or could tell me how to undub this game (I'm a complete noob at rom hack tho..), you would have my eternal thanks.

You can extract the audio data from the jp game and change it with the usa one with ds lazy.It works but it changes the game id and im not sure if there are problems at all

Undubbed it using Dsbuff.

Download both the Eng version, and the Jp version. Use the DSbuff, extract the sound files from the JP version, and replace the sound files in the Eng one.

Repack, then you won't regret it.

Sure, if you don't touch the other files besides the sound files.

kk cool thx. I was just wondering cuz sometimes, there is only audio and I was worried that if I undubbed it, I wouldn't be able to understand anything lol

ya u can unpack with dslaze or dsbuff. I think you need to replace the entire sound folder found in the data folder. I have no idea tho since i havent done it yet

just replaced the sound folder and it works perfectly.
no idea about the videos because the only one was the OP which was in japanese (is the original US version's OP is in english ?).

If you are talking about the original American release of Luminous Arc, no the OP was in japanese.

You're just supposed to replace the sound folder, and the sound folder only.

You don't need to replace any videos. Like I said, when you unpack, click onto the Data folder, and there should be a "sound" folder. Replace the US one with the JP one, and repack the file. After that, you'll be playing it with English subs, but with JP voices.

Yes, you can use Dslazy or DSbuff. It doesn't matter, since they both do the job fine.

Usually yes.

i think you only need to replace the voice folder. the other folders like MovieBGM and SE folder are quite the same, and yes the american release has a jap opening

It would but for some games when you di it the game is desynced with the audio. For example Suikoden Tierkreis for some reason has extra files causing desync if you undub it with the method described.

What's wrong with you guys!? I've heard MUCH worse voices than this... O_O They're actually not that bad!

And I like how they kept the opening theme in Japanese
