Hello,

j've followed the Plailect guide to hack my first 2DS 10.7 and i had no problem.

SO, i've a second 2DS in 11.1 and i've follow the Dsiware downgrade guide without mistake.

However, in the last section, verifying section, i did not know what to do to have the hombrew launcher and i have put the SD card of my first 2DS already hack and functionnal.

i have could redo the hack guide (homebrew launcher brower) for 10.4 firware until the Luma3DS part in Part 3 (A9LH).

I've check the 4 options in Luma3DS and press start --> the console have booted on Hourglass9 and i could only return in Luma3DS.
so, i've followed the troubleshot guide and i've replaced arm9loaderhax.bin to check if my 2DS was bricked and i think no because now when i boot my 2DS i've a black screen and i can shutdown the console by pressinbg any button.

Now,I can't back on Luma3DS (config.ini have been deleted) and no start combo works :/

What can i do now ?

thanks

Hold select on boot to get to luma config if it doesn't work then replace arm9loaderhax.bin, also check /Luma/payloads/ if hourglass's arm9loaderhax.bin is in it with a name of start_somthing.bin

thanks for reply

holding select on boot doesn't work, juste pressing any button shutdown the console.

I've already replace arm9loaderhax.bin and i'ts after that, that i can't return in Luma3DS.

What must i do if /Luma/payloads/arm9loaderhax.bin is named, or not, start_somthing.bin ?

You need hourglass9.bin in that payloads folder. Get the latest release HERE. Rename it to "start_hourglass9.bin" without the quotes. The arm9loaderhax.bin should come from HERE. That goes in the root of your SD card.

thanks

i will try this this evening, i hope put arm9loaderhax.bin in payloads folder will save my 2DS ;)

The arm9loaderhax.bin should be put in the root of the sd card (that is to say in no folder) and not in the payload folder...

The arm9loaderhax.bin goes in the ROOT of your SD, NOT in the payloads folder. The hourglass9.bin goes in the payloads folder, and you have to rename it.

thanks for your answers and sorry i've read too fast ;)

arm9loaderhax.bin is already in the root of the SD, i've copy/paste/replace it, like it's recommanded in the troubleshhoting and since i can't return in Luma3DS (black screen on boot et i can just shutdown console by pressing any key).

But, i have not rename the hourglass9.bin in the payloads folder, i hope it'll be enough.

When you replaced the arm9loaderhax.bin to see if your console was bricked, that's what made luma stop working. You are using a test payload (they are named the same thing). Make sure you have the arm9loaderhax.bin from the luma3ds releases page found here:
https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases

The arm9loaderhax.bin you need is inside the zip file. Replace the one you have now with this one and it will work again.

thanks,

i will try this.

the latest arm9loaderhax.bin that i've used was "test payload" to verify if the console was bricked, i have not think to retrun on the "good"arm9loaderhax.bin

The arm9loaderhax.bin file IS Luma3DS. By replacing it, you basically uninstalled Luma.

ok, it's much clear ;)

I need to read more about this hack , it is not the same as that of the Wiiu :D

what can i do if i can't reboot normaly after saving Luma3DS conf with the good arm9loaderhax.bin ?

This is why you rename the hourglass9.bin to start_hourglass9.bin and put it in the payloads folder. After doing this, you will be able to hold start while booting to boot into hourglass9. Once in hourglass9 you can restore a NAND backup. If you dont have a NAND backup and it wont boot after saving the config for luma, then follow the 9.2.0 ctrnand transfer section of plailects guide.

finally, if it's work ;), the thing to do when Luma3DS goes in black screen after saving config, it is create start_hourglass9.bin in the payloads folder.

Do you have a NAND backup you can restore? Renaming the file will make it work, but you have to USE hourglass9 to fix your black screen problem.
You should have files named NANDmin.bin and NANDmin.bin.sha. Do you have those backups?

yes, i've followed each line of the guide, backups obviously ;)

hourglass9 will help me to fix black screen by restoring my NAND but i hope i will not get a new black sceen after that and save Luma3DS config.

You won't. The reason why you are getting a black screen now is because your 3ds is still on 2.1.0 and Luma can't boot that firmware. Once you restore your backup from 9.2.0 it should work again. Only reason it wouldn't work is if there was a problem when making the backup and its corrupted. Even if that happens you can do a 9.2.0 ctrnand transfer to fix it. Either way, we will get your 2DS working again.
