LuaCraft is a Micro LUA DS Homebrew which features minecraft-like game play. For more information please give the information below a read

2D, Minecraft-style homebrew game for DS. Like Terraria, this early-in-development project interprets Mojang’s 3D sandbox game into a 16-bit-esque sidescrolling thing.

French coder Fantasix says LuaCraft — unrelated to the identically titled Minecraft custom server — has the basic functions of its progenitor: you can move, place, and break blocks, as well as create items out of blocks. LuaCraft also supports mods, so you can add content and features from other people (or make your own) to the game.

Keep in mind that Fantasix is putting out a lot of updates, which is awesome. If you can read French or don’t mind using Google Translate, you can follow LuaCraft’s development, read up on the controls/crafting, or learn about how to make mods in this discussion thread.

I can help you !

First, "chargement" means "loading" and "sauvegarde" means saving.

The controls :

Outside :
Right/Left : Move
Right/Left + Up : Climb on a block
Stylus (touch) on a empty block : Put a block
Stylus (held) : Break a block
Up + stylus (touch) : interact with the block (workbench for example)
Up : Climb on ladders
Select : Inventory
L/R : change items

Inventory/Workbench :
Drag & drop : move an object from the stack
Down + drag & drop : move the stack
Right/Left + drag & drop : move half of the stack

I can't see the point of minecraft without redstone, and can't see how redstone would work in 2D...

But still great, it's at least worth having a play with.
That's funny, me and a ton of other players find redstone incredibly useless and never use it. It's simply an addition which some players use and some don't. C'est tout.

I guess that's why it's got such a cult following, different things to different people.

Redstone lets you make a working Quake 3 arena.
Just sayin'.

Man, with Redstone, you can program and make almost anything. I remember seeing a video about a guy that made a scientific calculator out of redstone.

Wasn't that thing, like, fucking huge or something? Kinda wish there was an easier way to do that...

Does anyone know how to set this up? I'd like to try it out, but I've no idea what to do with the files :/

Either way though, it looks great.

Looks interesting, I'll try it out.
Had to look in the replies to figure out how to get it working.

Edit: Tried it out, kind of boring due to lack of content.
