For the people that don't want to invest too damn much on VR but you want to give it a try...
Edit: I haven't seen much discussion about low end or entry level VR so I'll leave this info here. If you don't want to invest in a full headset kit, you can always use a phone with gyroscope, cheap phone headset and the program VRidge. At minimum the combination of VRidge and Steam VR will get you a basic setup. The downside of this is that you will not have a set of traditional VR controllers to work with. Your average VR experience will be of the sitting variety.
VRidge has options that allow you to map a set of JoyCons to a virtual VR controller. Honestly I have yet to play with that feature but I've seen in YouTube videos that it does work. For the sake of this thread and trying to keep things simple, I aim for VR games that can be played with a standard controller. Below is a list of games.
* Star Trek Bridge Crew
* Star Wars Squadrons
* Project Cars
* Batman Arkham VR
* Alien Isolation (VR mod needed)
* Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice
* Gal Gun VR
* Honey Select (must map controller to mouse and keyboard in Steam Input)
I have a few more VR games to test and will update the list as I go along.
