Snes9x will use IOS58 for everything and not reload to 249. So u should do as I suggested, since u cannot launch a wii game backup using ios58, just view them within gx.
For example, start modmii classic, from the main menu, enter 4, then 24958, then D, then Y. Then install that wad and try again.
U can grab d2x v10 beta53 to try if u want by typing "beta" on download page 4 and selecting it
If u want to try a bunch of different cios's at once, u can install them to other slots like 248, 247, etc. for example. To do so enter A from modmii classic's main menu, choose the cios you want to customize, and change the slot to 248. U can only have 1 cios installed to one slot at a time. Then in gx u can just change the game ios to 248 or whatever slot u want to test. So if install more than 1 cios at once make sure u choose a unique slot for each otherwise they'll overwrite each other
