So basically, what is the best quality rescaled size that doesn't lag.
I'm gonna do 640x480 res.

anyone interested in developing this? the only videos i could watch without lag was 240p ones.

So I think 640x480 (aka 480p) will most probably lag, as has already been mentioned in this thread (it seems as though you did not read the full thread, since the answers were already there).
