ROM Hack Looking for a tool to extract DSi ROMs

Hi,

Im looking for a tool that can extract dsiware/dsi enchanced ROMs. Also, I would like it to NOT trim the file. This is important. Would rather not say why at the moment, but it should be a simple thing to ask for.
I have tried rom tools like dsbuff, but it doesnt extract properly or it trims the ROM, thus making it not work. I was recommended ndstool, but I cant figure out how to use it.

Didnt work, said extraction failed.

I should probably mention, im using a .app file.
