Hacking Lookinf for some clarification

Okay, so I have a Wii with a WiiD modchip installed.
I recently discovered the Homebrew Channel and tried installing it using the TP hack.
As it turns out I updated my Wii on October 23rd with NOTHING but the modchip installed.

I am wondering if there is still a way to install the Homebrew Channel. I know this requires downgrading, but all the instructions for downgrading require you already have the channel installed.

An answer either way would be appreciated as I have seen this question asked once or twice without any response, and I just want to know if I should continue trying or just forget about it for now.

Yeah no I realized I posted the wrong post.

This may be an overly complicated way of doing it (meaning there might be a simpler method explained by someone better than I) but others can tell you if this would work

1) Use TP hack to run a wad installer
2) install ios16
3) use custom wad installer to install cios_fix
4) use wad installer to install homebrew chan

If this is wrong just flame me and I will remove/edit/fix it

I can't use the TP hack with the updated firmware. I'm looking for a way to downgrade the firmware WITHOUT the TP hack or homebrew channel.
