3 days ago I bought a Nintendo DSi with R4 and 2Gb SD card. I added som games to the SD card and it worked fine. Afer I tried to add more games, the SD card was full so I didn't add more games and put back the SD card back in the DSi.
Then it came the problem that it keeps loading forever. I noticed that the kernel files are not there anymore on the SD card. The R4 is totally black with nothing written on it so I cannot identify what card it is for downloading kernel files. Any help?

R4 is not compatible with a DSi...
Get an Acekard 2i or Supercard 2

You have a klone...
Do you have a box for it?
If not, then you could just download a tonne of R4 klone firmwares that support DSi.
Or you could buy a SCDS2 (best option)

It was working but after adding more games and the card was full than the problem occured.

Regarding sticker, no it has no stickers or written words on it at all. Just black.

Regarding box, no it has no box. The DSi came with the R4 in it.

So how do you know it's an R4 then ??

Are you sure you haven't accidentally 'Hidden' the kernel files so that they don't show up

Out of curiosity - can you remember what the names of the kernel files/folders were on the root ??

For example did it have a '_rpg' or a 'system' folder on the root ?
Did it have a 'TTMENU.SYS' or '_DS_Menu.DAT' file on the root ?

It MIGHT give us a clue to what kernels you could try from here

I am saying R4 because I ordered it with an R4. Yes I think it had 'TTMENU.SYS' and '_DS_Menu.DAT' and a 'system' folder too.

For my earlier reply about sticker, sorry... it has a small round gold sticker with number: 2010.08 and when I look inside the SD card slot I can see a code: PD902B and under it inside there's another smaller number but I can't figure that out.

i meant like use your SD reader and plug it into the computer, then take a screenshot of your SD folder.

i didn't say anything about how many games you have left.

Oh sorry for misunderstanding. As i tried to download some kernel updates and installing, I formatted the sd card.... so there's nothing on the sd card.

try downloading wood r4 1.19 and put it on your SD.
and then load up your R4.

i downloaded and put on SD card but still the same problem.

i knew it was not going to work because there's only 2 files in the kernel '__rpg and _DS_MENU.DAT'.

if i remember correctly there were 4 files in the previous kernel and i think there was a '......nds' file too.

to make sure... is it just copy and paste on the SD card?

right now, im not even sure what r4 you have :|
it could be anything with the info you gave us.

that's weird - the only R4's I know of don't have all those files

The 'nearest' card I can think of is a R4SDHC from www.r4sdhc.com.
This has (IIRC) a '_DS_menu.DAT', '_DS_MSHL.NDS', and a '_system_' folder

Where did you buy it from ?? - that might help (don't supply a link IF the site does ROM download though)
