I've tried everything I can find, but every time I run Loadiine it just sits on a black screen for an indefinite amount of time... So far I've done:

-Launced it straight from the Homebrew menu
-Went to loadiine.ovh and launched it from there
-Went to loadiine.ovh, launched kexploit 10, then tried launching loadiine
-Went to loadiine.ovh, launched kexploit 10 twice, then tried loadiine
-Tried the Illuminati homebrew launcher
-Much more

No matter what I do I just get a black screen (or in the case of launching it straight from loadiine.ovh, I get stuck on the white screen with the Wii U logo on the bottom right)

Did you set up your SD first? Loadiine won't just launch from browser without first putting the loadiine files in the correct folder on your SD.

Q: Why use old outdated loadiine? Why not use WUP Installer Method?

I didn't know such a method existed haha. Still new to the whole Wii U modding scene, only just CFW'd mine yesterday. (Still don't have any DS VC games tho for Haxchi)

You can boot Mocha from the browser exploit, no need for Haxchi, although it is recommended.

I think you're a but confused. You said you "CFW'd" your Wii U. Which of the 3 CFWs did you use? Did you follow a YouTube vid? I'd recommend reading through the noob guide. HaxChi isn't just for VC titles.

I used wiiu.guide, and I have Mocha, but it doesn't boot on launch. As far as I'm aware, the only way to have Mocha start on boot it using a DS VC title with Coldboot Haxchi?

Again, please read the noob guide. It doesn't make sense to use HaxChi to cold boot Mocha. Youd be using a CFW to launch another CFW.

Wiiu.guide is generally frowned upon here. It is old out of date info

Ah, that makes sense. 3DS.guide was awesome for the 3DS so I just assumed WiiU.guide would be the equivalent. Thanks for the advice!

No worries. I used her guide for 3ds too. A lot of people assume the Wii U one is just as good. It's not. It has people setup HaxChi then Mocha then redNAND unnecessarily

Take look at mine if you don't understand some stuff. @OP
We both explain most of stuff so take a look!

the same thing is happening to me. Loadiine was working fine, I even installed the Forwarder version with WUP Installer, and I still get a black screen. I tried launching it with HBL and with the App on the home screen.

Also, I am using the latest Nightly build of Loadiine.

redNAND was removed from the wiiu.guide. It looks fine now and leaves you the choice between Haxchi and Mocha.
