Mine doesn't even show the start up screen, I am using update 80 btw.

I figured it out. I am using a US patched to EUR version and the update I downloaded is EUR. Guess I need us update them.

Guys, I try to load Minecraft Wii U from a non nnid linked user, but it still crashes?
It just goes to straight black screen after it loads.

Works fine in MiiMaker mode for me. (5.5.1, latest nightly, no NNID account, EU-Pal)
Edit: I don't use the update.

Only from SD card right now. The kernel exploit gives up SD access, but we need an IOSU exploit to use USB.

I simply went out and bought a 128GB SD card.

No. Only SD card.

Are you talking about burning to DVDs like you could with the Wii? I would assume that is a no currently. You can dump a game by using ddd.

You can dump games, though remember to delete the blank unnecessary data on the disc.

the only supported method is to play games from the sd card. using an ssd, hdd, internal storage, or any other usb device will not work.

Yea actually i meant a sd card ^^ i am sry ... i ve always used SSD xD ups it was my failure.

And for the guys who think that i am a complete noob... No actually not.. I am only a newcommer in the wii u hacking scene... ^^ and i read that the 5.5 exploit came out two days ago.. So i had a lot of questions for the loadiiine..i searched and looked up nearly all ^^ but i v not found the external option... And the backup option ^^ soo just for the conclusion ... @rasputin ...

oh well in that case you have to load the games in the "wiiu/apps/games" directory. The naming convention needed is explain in the first post. Definitely go read that post because it will answer many of the common questions your asking. Good Luck!

Just tried Mario Maker with Smash, still doesn't work with the update installed.

You are right. I must have made something wrong when testing the previous build. Just tested it again and it worked with the previous build and failed on the last one. I found the issue already. I forgot to remove two test function hooks. They are removed now. Try the new commit I just made and it should be working again.


I don't have any VC titles. Can't really do any research on how this options are set there.

I can provide you with a few on my own.
At least one for each console if you want me to.
