PS1/2 load from usb?

Hey all!
A time ago I got froma friend a ps2slim with the reader module all broken, but the console works and have matrix (not sure if legit) installed, I planne dto make usb/lan loader but with so much to play I haven't gave it much attention, now my cousin gave me her ps2, also slim, matrix etc lol, but allright.
So I want to give the broken one but leting it playable (usb is ok), but I'm not sure about the options I have, wich tuto is better or oudated , any idea for me?

I don't think it would be capable to run games off the USB as the interface is USB 1.1 (which is extremely slow, maybe it would work for certain ps1 games, but idk)

they tell me that its posible but some game are unplayable, other recomended me to see the lan way to run faster

You can use Open PS2 Loader for PS2 """backups""" (supports USB, internal HDD, and network SAMBA) and POPSLoader for PS1 games

Maybe you could run some games but most would be borderline playable, with a lot of stuttering.

Would you believe me if i said that the ps2 scene just recently got a way to run ps1, but ps2 i use for 5 years now? (both samba and usb)

Does this work good(-ish) with ps2 games?
If so, would you be willing to share the installation method or link to a tutorial?? I'm kinda interested as I'm afraid my ps2 might be biting the dust soon and I don't wanna hunt another one down.

Never had any problems with it, if wasn't for it, i wouldn't even finish God of War 2
Dude, i was just saying that for Sliter, tutorials on it are a decade outdated, but i will share the methods when i have more time than now
