fail0verflow never releases anything lolIt's too bad they aren't releasing the exploit to actually run Linux on the PS4, but at least they are releasing Linux. Now it's time for someone to step up I suppose.

They're attention whores.
That's a dumb reason not to release stuff.Yeah, it's too bad the piracy side effect of their Wii stuff turned them away from the 'scenes'.
Cturt posted a nice write-up of his kernel mode exploit a while back so i'm sure support will come eventually...It's too bad they aren't releasing the exploit to actually run Linux on the PS4, but at least they are releasing Linux. Now it's time for someone to step up I suppose.
So, why can they not be bothered with the Wii U?
Is that true they were able to run Pokemon on it?

That is how the 3DS stuff started aswell, but look where it is now. Also loadiine could be tweeked a little to be quite usefull in the homebrew comunity.Fail0verflow are in it for the challenge of hacking the console, not starting a homebrew scene or enabling piracy. They hacked the Wii U and moved on to a new challenge.
All the majority want is piracy so you have to respect them for not killing off a console that's not really doing too well by enabling mass piracy. It was pretty much proved it's all people wanted earlier this year when the public got a kernel exploit and the only real thing that happened is an ISO loader got released.
You need someone with passion to drive a homebrew scene like smealum is doing with the 3DS.
They got Linux running on the PS4, which was used to load a GBA emulator.
