I installed amd drivers in my Linux mint install now this happens on boot (click for zoom)

As told on shit box I tried the fix found here https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewto...sid=ea1e697a9a6c0f672b2be4255a5c0c52&start=20
This is what it shows after the first command

The copy command then works fine...
But when starting Startx shows up this:

I am a total noon with Linux, so if you tell me to do x, please include instructions like what should I type on the terminal

solved it, i just unninstalled the ati shit
in the blue screen press controll+alt+f2 (in my computer for whatever reason i had to press controll alt f1, or f3, it had a weird behavior. some keys worked while f2 bringed back the blue screen)

then type
Code:
sudo aticonfig --uninstall
wait and it gets rid of the drivers and computer booted normally again
i tried all kinds of stuff like reinistall xserver or clean it's config, nothing worked...

My laptop has Nvidia Optimus crap which means that it seamlessly switches between Intel HD graphics and Nvidia, this was also giving me the same error.
This was fixed in the next update, also giving me the option to switch between graphic chipsets on the fly.
Wait until the next update, in the mean time, report it on the system's community forum to get it fixed. AMD doesn't get a lot of love from the Unix community.

Actually, the community has more love for AMD than nVidia -- default open source AMDGPU driver module the community developed is like 99% as fast as the proprietary driver made by AMD themselves. Its not really worth the hassle to install the proprietary driver on AMD, the open source one just works and you don't run into random X server problems.
