Hacking letterbomb problem 'no valid elf image detected'

help, im trying to crack a friends wii 4.3e brand new.

ive modded a fair few wii's using different methods from zelda to bannerbomb etc.... i did one before with letterbomb months ago with no problems but im stuck with this.


ive a clean sd card. i even swapped from my 4 gig one to a 1 gig one to see if it fixed the problem.

i go to the letterbomb site, put in the correct mac address. get the downloaded file, stick it on sd card. ive tried this on its own and also with the files modmii puts on the sd card. ive tried it with and without the package it installs.

i see the message and click on it and get:

reading 0 bytes....
done
no valid elf image detected, retrying
sd card not found (-2)
usbgecko not found
no code found to load, hanging.




ive redownloaded the file, changed the sd card, wiped it first, tried it just that private file plus the files fom modmii but same result.


any advice appreciated thanks.

becuase you don't have the hackmii install on yoour sd! use modmii to download hackmii installer (in modmii download page 2 type HM press enter D enter y enter put boot.elf and bootmini.elf on your sd. then mod your wii!

You need a boot.elf on your sd card with more than 0 bytes. Do you have that?
