Hardware left joycon issues

my left joycon does not worked when it docked in console mode. When i docked it into the console its make the noise and it has the animation on the side but the system never picks it up as docked. it still sees it as a wireless controller. I able to get another switch and the joycon worked fine docked into the other switch. Any thoughts on this?

Best guess? Something is inside of the slot where the joycon docks to the system.

Ribbon cable for the rail is most likely damaged.

Did you try reseting it then pairing it again to the switch?
