    Hello all,

I find myself posting in this sub-forum for the first time so I hope I'm in the right place. Anyway...

I came across this cake stand with led lights and it doesn't come with batteries for the led string lights. I already bought it and asked the seller what type of batteries it takes. All I got was a response saying "The fifth battery." Now I've never even heard of such a battery before. The seller is from China and I'm in the USA so idk if that is a special battery over there. Do all led string lights use the same batteries or do I have to find specific batteries for the lights on this particular cake stand?

I would guess he is trying to say "five batteries" in bad English. As for the type, who knows. You can power LEDs with pretty much any battery in the world. Probably AA or AAA though if nothing is explicitly stated.

    Yes.
I'd wager he meant the 5 Volt battery. (it's the rectangular, blocky one, where I live)

I don't have the stand with me currently but there should be a battery compartment for me to insert batteries yes? Or do I have to use some other device?

    Yes.
I don't think you'll get a stand with bare wires coming out of it. It'll have a battery box for 99%

Pretty much. You'll know what batteries it takes the moment you see the connector/s.
