i don't really know which is more shocking, shirley's or lelouch's death. because i already knew lelouch would die before i finished watching. but judging from the sequence of events, in lelouch's case, i think it would be less shocking since there were clues that something will happen towards the end.

Watch it. Its worth the time. As for the ending, I was kinda expecting it. As for everyone else who died in the series. It was a real shocker and a tear jerker.

Definitely Shirley's. Honestly I hated Rolo for a few episodes, until HE died, then I was like, "NO ROLO DON'T DIE! ;~;"
