XL, but I spent most of my time playing KI: U when I had an original 3DS. The thumb stylus works well on both, in my experience.

Another World: 20th Anniversary
Had this on the Amiga back in the day, really liked it but never finished it, it's pretty tough. It's also pretty short, I managed to play through it today, and get to the end - only had to google for help on a couple of spots, honest - but a satisfying experience.

Long. Very long. But none of it seems wasted or boring really. Its a fantastic journey. 60 some hours.

Really, I've finished it...but I can't figure out the last medal no matter what I do. It's driving me crazy since the game doesn't tell you the requirements for how to unlock them. It isn't unlocked for beating the extra area and getting all characters, as I've done that.

EDIT: Last medal is the Ninja Master medal and I finally got it!

the first 4 chapters = amazing.
last 4 = shit. couldn't find myself invested in the ending either because the final chapters pissed me off so much. it was such a huge troll..
